WHERE SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP COMES HOME

Nick DeWolf was a pioneering entrepreneur who with his business partner and former MIT classmate Alex d'Arbeloff founded TERADYNE in Boston in 1960. Nick's intellectual, entrepreneurial and artistic legacies provide inspiration for all of us who inhabit the space where technology, business and the arts collide.

Louisburg Square at Night, 1957. Photograph by Nick DeWolf. Our deepest thanks to Maggie DeWolf, Steve Lundeen and the DeWolf Estate.

Nick DeWolf  documented the quotidian in exhaustive, illuminating and richly rewarding detail. His photographs of mid-century Boston capture the city's social, economic and intellectual co-ordinates.

The images are enormously diverse and range from an Updikean look at a young family's life on Beacon Hill to an amused take on the unstated protocol of a corporate picnic.
